piles?????
has anyone here had external piles?what did you do to treat them?
1 which hazel applied to them will shrink them down quite quickly
2 You can push them back in...once heard a carer talking about doing it for a patient she was looking after, god it must have been pain full
3 You can buy a cream over the counter to reduce them and give some relief. Pessaries are another method. If they are persistant then you can have them surgically treated which normally entails a doctor tying an elastic band band around them and they then drop off after about ten days. This a little more permanent.
4 drink lots of water and eat plenty roughage / fibre to keep stools soft so to avoid straining on the loo which is the commonest cause of piles . They will eventually shrink if you do as mentioned .
Good Luck , i know how painful they can be .
Also if you can push them back in you will find alot of relief ..
