2 Once you have had a rather severe dose, its pretty much expected you will have them off and on for most of your life. It is apparent that some people have had surgery to remove, but I hear it is a pretty messy surgery. Do not force or strain bowel movements, try to keep a diet that will not constipate you. As far as preparation H and other ointments, I find they are of no use. There are precautions to remember so that your piles don't become worse. Take hot and soaking baths regular. Do not eat spicy foods. Never, ever sit on cold surfaces such as cement, metal or anything damp. Sit outdoors only on dry wood surfaces.
3 i don't know exactly what happens if they are untreated but i'm pretty sure that they aren't gonna go away on their own. there are medicated pads Rx though or creams to help ya out to calm down the inflammation.
