1       Go see your doctor because even if it isn't haemoroids it could point to another disease. So go see them and ask for help.

2       A Hemorrhoid is an irritated vein around the bunghole, Beavis. Get some Preparation H and use it. Lay on your side on the couch. Don't sit directly on your butt for long periods of time.

Stop pushing when you take a dump, let the poop fall out on it's own. Stessing your bowels when taking a dump is the primary reason people get Hemorrhoids.

When you wipe, pull two-ply tissue apart and make a puffball. Wipe as gently as possible. Wash your crack in the shower obsessively. Use enough soap.

3       hi, you should still see a doctor so you can get as much information as possible on your own specific condition as well as treatment ideas that could mean eliminating your symptoms for good.

4       I find Preparation H or Witch Hazel will get rid of minor cases of Hemorrhoids. If you've got a severe case it'll reduce pain and irritation. But these treatments and other treatments simply didn't work well enough for me. They didn't get to the root cause of the problem! But I got lucky when I found something online from a former Hemorrhoid sufferer.

How long do hemorrhoids last?

Posted on May 31, 2010

I have internal hemorrhoids. They started from having a bad case of diahrea. For the first few days they were very painful and now they just itch very very badly. I have had them for a week and one day. I have tried sitz bath, vaseline, preperation H cream, ointment and suppositories and Tucks pads. Last night was the worse they have been, shouldnt they be getting better? I will not have insurance for about a month, so going to the Dr is not an option right now. How long does this usually last, I dont know how much longer I can stand it. The itching is horrible.

1       Hemorrhoids don't just go away. They can not make troubles for some time but at first irritation usually caused by food they can flare-up. I tried lots of things - including some you're mentioning - only to get some temporary relief from pain. I got finally rid of it with Rue Care Oil. It takes a little bit longer for internal hemorrhoids to shrink than for external, but the itching etc. usually stops fast.

2       Unfortunately the short answer is, they'll go away when they're ready to go away...I have been there myself, many times (as I have IBS)...and the ONLY relief I was able to get was from A&D Ointment...found in the "baby" aisle...it is WONDERFUL stuff and I use it every time, and it takes the itch and burn completely away...you can manually rub some up inside if you need to...
If you haven't tried it, try it. It's the only thing that works for me.

Is this just hemorrhoids? Or do I need to be worried?

I know there are no doctors here but I am really shy about this subject. ... A little background: When I was pregnant in 2001, my (ex)boyfriend forced me to have anal sex. Since then I occasionally bleed a bit when I go #2.

Yesterday I felt sick to my stomach. This morning when I was half asleep I noticed that I was bleeding and thought it was my period. ... Well, I just went to the bathroom again and figured out it was coming from the #2 hole.

I am taking medicine that may cause "bloody stools" but it isn't exactly mixed in with the stools. So would this be hemorrhoids (which I know almost nothign about) or does it sound like something more serious?

1       Sounds more serious. Get it checked out. I know it is embarrassing.

My brother in law ignored rectal bleeding and ended up with rectal cancer. His outcome would have been much better if he would have dealt with the issue right away rather than waiting 6 months. Now he has a colostomy bag.

2       More serious, any bleeding from your anus needs to be checked by a doctor NOW.

3       I think so I to have this problem, it does sound like it to me, but to be on the safe side I would still mention it to your GP? I know it is embarrasing but they have seen it all, :) )

4       Hemorrhoids can be serious too. I'd suggest googling 'Hemorrhoids' so you can see what to look for. I'm sure you've been to the doctor since 2001 so they might've seen it if it was a Hem. Or not...

If the blood is bright red that's not bad, but if its darker then it could be something more serious.

5       blood that isn't mixed in with stools and is reddish usually is a bleed closer to the opening. this could be a polyp, fissure, hemorrhoids or ulcers...it could also be something chronic and serious...I see people in the ICU all the time from GI bleeds and it can put you in the hospital fast if not dealt with...
if you take medicine like aspirin, ibuprofen, plavix, heparin, lovenox, coumadin or any other blood thinner, anti-platelet or anti-coagulant you need to see your doctor today. If not then it is a good idea to see your doctor anyways and soon...a GI bleed can be worse than what you can see...sometimes you can't see the amount of blood lost.

Quick question about hemorrhoids and constipation?

Posted on May 31, 2010

I'm 16 and I have frequent constipation. I just recently learned about hemorrhoids and realized I have had them mildly before but I don't think I have had them as bad as I do now. Although I don't think I even have them that bad now. I have to small bumps around the rim and they get bigger when I try to go to the bathroom and then I just get paranoid and and not go. With them this small (the size of a dime at their biggest) what kind of treatment should I give? Will they go away on their own? What will happen to them when I poo? They don't hurt and they don't feel uncomfortable.

1       You might want to try some preparation H....you can buy it over the counter at any drugstore and/or supermarket....
Tucks are another product that you could try...both of these medicines are for hemorrhoids...
The constipation sounds self inflicted...in other words, you aren't allowing yourself to go to the bathroom when you actually have to...this is not good...
Hemorrhoids are actually varicose veins of the rectal area...sometimes they swell and/or can break, causing some slight bleeding...don't be alarmed if this happens...it is normal...
If you have a bowel movement while you have these hemorrhoids...like I said, they can break...and they will heal on their own...
If all of the above treatments don't help, then you might want to go and see a doctor....they could be polops (please excuse the spelling)....these have to be or should be surgically removed...
A gastroenterologist is the kind of doc you want for this type of thing....

2       If (external) hemorrhoids are giving no problem you can ignore them but in the meanwhile having a good hygiene and treating the constipation by a suitable diet and some (occasional) natural purge. On the contrary, if hemorrhoids are painful and bleeding even you should got some medical treatment by a visit. Yep, there are some ways to eliminate hemorrhoids as like as laser therapy.

3       you have to get them sugically removed.Eat more fiber.
Polyps are known to cause colon cancer...you don't want to go there !

4       You need to eat more fiber and roughage. Take a stool softener if necessary and drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. That should solve the problem.

5       this happened to me and my doctor said eat more fibre such as bran and it made it better
